Fifty heroes, one Thanos, a free Captain America costume. That's the Marvel Rivals Avengers: Endgame mode in one line. Can you play it today? No. The patch landed on October 22 and the fight opens October 24, and NetEase Games had to clear that up under its own patch post.
So what do you need before Saturday? Session times for where you live, what the free costume asks of you, and what else the patch added. There are also several things NetEase hasn't said yet, and we list them plainly.
Patch on October 22, mode on October 24
The patch went live at 09:00 UTC on October 22 with no server downtime. NetEase's Version 20261022 patch notes, posted the day before, give the event period as "October 22nd, 2026, 09:00:00 to November 26th, 2026, 09:00:00 (UTC)". Then comes the line that matters: "The mode officially starts on Oct 24 (UTC) and runs for 4 consecutive weeks."
A lot of players took October 22 as the start. About half an hour after posting the notes on X, NetEase replied under its own post: "Sorry for the confusion, Rivals! The event starts on the 24th of October and will run until November 26th." The trailer's end card agrees: "Begins October 24, 2026 UTC".
Why the mix-up? Three dates were in play. In Dev Vision Vol. 22, NetEase's GuangGuang said "on October 22nd, get ready for Path to Doomsday, Avengers: Endgame". The Season 10.5 roadmap put the mode in its October 23 column as "New PvE mode". For actually playing, it's the 24th that counts.
Marvel Rivals Endgame schedule by time zone
NetEase sets the schedule in UTC: "Session 1: Oct 24, 01:00 - 03:00. Session 2: Oct 24, 18:00 - 20:00." Each one lasts two hours. October 24 is a Saturday, but depending where you live, Session 1 is on Friday.
| Saturday and session (UTC) | US Eastern / US Pacific | UK / Central Europe |
|---|---|---|
| Oct 24, 1: 01:00-03:00 | Fri 9-11 PM EDT / Fri 6-8 PM PDT | 2-4 AM BST / 3-5 AM CEST |
| Oct 24, 2: 18:00-20:00 | 2-4 PM EDT / 11 AM-1 PM PDT | 7-9 PM BST / 8-10 PM CEST |
| Oct 31, 1: 01:00-03:00 (our reading) | Fri 9-11 PM EDT / Fri 6-8 PM PDT | 1-3 AM GMT / 2-4 AM CET |
| Oct 31, 2: 18:00-20:00 (our reading) | 2-4 PM EDT / 11 AM-1 PM PDT | 6-8 PM GMT / 7-9 PM CET |
| Nov 7 and 14, 1: 01:00-03:00 (our reading) | Fri 8-10 PM EST / Fri 5-7 PM PST | 1-3 AM GMT / 2-4 AM CET |
| Nov 7 and 14, 2: 18:00-20:00 (our reading) | 1-3 PM EST / 10 AM-12 PM PST | 6-8 PM GMT / 7-9 PM CET |
And after October 24? The notes print only the first two sessions, then say the mode "will be available for limited times each subsequent week based on this schedule." We read that as the same UTC slots on the next three Saturdays, which makes eight sessions and 16 hours in total. NetEase hasn't listed those dates one by one, so check the event page in game each week anyway.
Local times move because the clocks do. Europe leaves summer time on October 25 and the US on November 1. NetEase's slots stay put in UTC. In North America Session 1 always lands on a Friday evening. If you only check Saturdays, you miss half the sessions.
The event closes November 26 at 09:00 UTC (4:00 AM EST, 1:00 AM PST, 9:00 AM GMT, 10:00 AM CET). That's the end of the event period. No sessions are promised for its last days. On our reading the final session is November 14, the first weekend of Season 11, which starts November 13. In the US, that last Session 1 falls on the evening of November 13 itself. Whether Season 11 affects the mode, NetEase hasn't said.
The Endgame PvE mode: fifty heroes against Thanos
PvE means everybody in the match is on one side, fighting computer-controlled enemies: Thanos and his army. NetEase's story text: "Thanos from the past has breached the timeline, leading his forces to tear the cosmos apart and forge it anew."
The number needs a slow read. NetEase's trailer post says "Assemble in the ruins of the Avengers Compound alongside fifty heroes to face Thanos and his overwhelming army head-on". Kotaku and Polygon reported it on October 20 as 50 players against Thanos. Is that the same thing? Could be. NetEase hasn't said whether a session fills with exactly 50 real players, how matchmaking and parties work, or if there are any limits on hero picks.
Regular Marvel Rivals matches are 6v6. The 18v18 mode, which got the Alchemax Headquarters map on October 9, puts 36 players in one match. If all fifty heroes are real players, Endgame beats that easily.
What the official trailer shows
NetEase posted the 1:49 Endgame trailer on October 20. A trailer isn't a rulebook, so take these shots as hints, not confirmed mechanics:
- The ruined Avengers Compound at sunset, the Avengers "A" logo on a broken tower, and Thanos's warship, the Sanctuary II from the film, in the sky.
- Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk walking toward Thanos, who waits with his double-edged sword and his army behind him.
- Dozens of heroes charging at once as glowing round portals open across the battlefield, like the film's final battle.
- An Iron Man player among dozens of named heroes and masses of enemy troops. Thanos towers over them with his own name tag and health bar above his head, swinging his sword across the field.
- Thanos with the Infinity Gauntlet, with his warship over the battlefield. Kotaku describes an aerial strike from the ship that hits a whole crowd of players at once.
The first spoken line is "You defied my mercy. Now you shall meet your end." The trailer ends with Tony Stark in his armour, wearing a gauntlet with the stones, then the snap, then Thanos turning to dust. Does that play when players win? NetEase hasn't said, so for now that's just how the trailer ends.
How to get the free Captain America costume
The patch notes keep it short: "Join in this epic battle to earn Captain America's - Captain America: The Winter Soldier costume and other rewards for FREE!" The Captain America costume reveal quotes "Before we get started, does anyone want to get out?", which is Steve Rogers' elevator line from Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014). The post says you claim the costume "by participating in the epic Path to Doomsday - Avengers: Endgame event".
So what counts as participating? One session? A win? A list of missions? The tasks, the number of sessions, whether you need to win and what the "other rewards" are have not been published outside the game. Our advice: open the event page in game on October 24 and read the requirements before your first session, not after.
Two costumes, one film name
Two Marvel Rivals costumes carry the film name Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The free one is for the Captain America hero, Steve Rogers. The Winter Soldier - Captain America: The Winter Soldier Bundle went on sale on July 31, 2026 for the Winter Soldier hero, Bucky Barnes. The July 30 patch notes list it under New In Store. Bucky's was a paid store bundle, Steve's is the free Endgame reward.
Thor's The Avengers costume is free right now as well, through the Infinity Finale season event ("Complete quests to earn Thor's The Avengers costume for FREE"), which runs until December 10, 09:00 UTC. Planning to main Cap now? Our Marvel Rivals Lord calculator estimates the XP, matches and hours to Lord, Champion or level 70 for a hero, and you don't need an account. Will Endgame battles give proficiency? NetEase hasn't said.
Times Square - Avengers: Endgame tasks
Neither of these tasks needs the Thanos fight. The patch notes list both from October 22, 09:00 UTC to November 26, 09:00 UTC. NetEase's correction didn't mention Times Square, so going by the notes, the tasks could already be live.
- Avengers: Endgame Highlights Screening. Go to the viewing area in Times Square. NetEase: "Watch the screening continuously for two minutes to unlock the exclusive Gallery Card - Avengers: Endgame." So stay in the viewing area for the full two minutes.
- Avengers: Endgame - Iconic Scenes Photo Ops. Go to the photo walls outside the Avengers' Gift Shop. NetEase: "Take a group photo with the NPCs there to instantly earn 100 Units!" Units are the in-game store currency.
Every Path to Doomsday chapter has had these two tasks:
- The Avengers (April): Gallery Card: The Avengers and 100 Units. That screening ran at fixed daily showtimes (April 30 patch notes).
- Age of Ultron (July): an exclusive spray and 100 Units.
- Infinity War (October 9): Gallery Card - Avengers: Infinity War, plus the Spray - Avengers Emblem and 100 Units for the photo.
- Endgame (now): the photo op lists 100 Units and no spray, and the screening lists no showtimes.
New in store and fixes in patch 20261022
Six store items from October 23
Six items arrive on October 23 at 02:00 UTC. NetEase's X posts give that as "October 22 at 7 PM PT". The two costume bundles leave on November 20 at 02:00 UTC, which is the evening of November 19 in US time zones. No prices have been published.
| Item | In store from | Leaves |
|---|---|---|
| Black Cat - Fatal Weaver Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | Nov 20, 02:00 UTC |
| Elsa Bloodstone - Gothic Huntress Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | Nov 20, 02:00 UTC |
| Jeff the Land Shark - Sharknos Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | No end date listed |
| Black Cat - Fatal Weaver Emoji Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | No end date listed |
| Shawarma Emote Combo Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | No end date listed |
| The Snap Emote Combo Bundle | Oct 23, 02:00 UTC | No end date listed |
The Black Cat - Fatal Weaver and Elsa Bloodstone - Gothic Huntress costumes were already on the Season 10.5 roadmap among the Halloween costumes. Our Marvel Rivals Halloween skins guide listed them before their names were out. Black Cat's line is "I only handle the fun part - snip, and someone's thread is done."
Sharknos is Jeff dressed as Thanos. The reveal opens with "Paw-fectly balanced, as all things should be", which is Thanos's line from Infinity War with "perfectly" swapped for a paw pun. The emote bundles borrow two film moments: the snap from Infinity War and Endgame, and the shawarma scene at the end of The Avengers (2012).
Bug fixes, no balance changes
Version 20261022 doesn't list any hero balance changes. The fixes:
- Heroes:
- Black Cat sometimes couldn't use portals on walls right after casting Fortune's Favor - Phantom Pursuit.
- Black Widow's direction shifted oddly during Widow's Bite Slam.
- Hawkeye's hands looked empty when switching from Psionic Arrow to standard arrows.
- Achievements and MVP:
- In Competitive, a Team Wipe didn't count toward ACE! achievements if an enemy player had already quit.
- The wrong MVP animation played after a mid-round hero swap when the enemy surrendered.
- Audio:
- A sound glitch with The Punisher's Dangan Ronin costume and his Daredevil Team-Up.
- An audio bug in Hawkeye's Psylocke Team-Up when the Senbonzakura Strike charge was cancelled.
- Clipping: Doctor Strange's Avengers: Infinity War costume, Blade's Vampire King costume (the blade edge on the showcase screen) and Thor's The Avengers costume.
Where Endgame sits in Path to Doomsday
Path to Doomsday is NetEase's run of film-themed modes leading up to Marvel Studios' Avengers: Doomsday, in cinemas December 18, 2026. NetEase's March roadmap for the series ran right up to that date.
| Mode | Dates | What it is |
|---|---|---|
| The Avengers (Chapter 1) | April 30 - May 28, 2026 | The Avengers against Loki: "Justice or Mischief? Choose your side" |
| Age of Ultron | From July 30, 2026 | "Ultron's legion surges into Avengers Tower"; "currently not available on PS4" |
| Infinity War | October 9 - December 11, 2026 | PvP: 12 players in 6 duo squads race to collect all 6 Infinity Stones |
| Avengers: Endgame | October 24 - November 26, 2026 | PvE: "alongside fifty heroes" against Thanos |
| Avengers: Doomsday (film) | December 18, 2026 | In cinemas |
The schedule changed along the way. The March roadmap planned one chapter every two months: April, June, August, October. Age of Ultron slipped to July 30, then Infinity War and Endgame both landed in Season 10.5. Infinity War outlasts Endgame. It runs until December 11 per the Season 10.5 patch notes. Our Marvel Rivals Season 10.5 overview covers that mode, the balance changes and what's known about Season 11.
PS4 players, there's one detail for you. The July notes said of Age of Ultron: "This mode is currently not available on PS4." The Endgame notes carry no such warning, but NetEase hasn't confirmed PS4 support either way. Check the mode list on October 24.
What NetEase hasn't announced yet
As of October 22 none of this is public. Check it in game on October 24:
- what exactly earns the free Captain America costume
- what the "other rewards" are
- hero-selection rules
- whether a session fills with exactly 50 players
- party and queue rules
- how long one battle lasts
- boss phases and win conditions
- whether a lost battle still counts for rewards
- PS4 support
- the session dates after October 24
A four-weekend plan, plus ranked before Season 11
Two hours, twice a week, four weeks. That isn't a lot of time. This is our advice, not NetEase's rules:
- Install the patch before Saturday. It's been out since October 22, 09:00 UTC.
- Do the Times Square tasks first. Neither one needs the Thanos fight.
- Read the event page on October 24 before your first session.
- Play in week one. If the costume takes several sessions, a late start leaves you fewer chances.
- Set reminders from the UTC times, and recheck your local time after October 25 (Europe) and November 1 (US).
- On PS4, check the mode list on October 24.
The Endgame mode is PvE, and NetEase hasn't tied it to Competitive. Season 10.5 Competitive runs until Season 11 begins on November 13, and this half's Gold reward is Jeff the Land Shark - Razor-Tooth. The rule since Season 5: complete 10 ranked matches in the half-season and finish it at Gold or higher. We explain how the half-season Gold costume works, and why there was no rank reset at the half-season.
Our advice: the sessions take up Friday nights or Saturdays. If you're still short of Gold or of your 10 matches, try to play ranked on other days before November 13. Want a hand? With a Marvel Rivals rank boost, a booster plays Competitive to the rank you choose. They play on your account or with you through the duo-queue (Play-Along) option, on PC, PlayStation and Xbox. With Season 11 on November 13, our Marvel Rivals ranks and season reset page explains how the season reset works. Everything else we offer for the game is on the Marvel Rivals boosting page.
